iOS or Android
On a mobile device, clicking “Add to calendar” will open your meeting directly in your default calendar app.
Desktop or laptop
On a desktop or laptop, the meeting details are downloaded to your computer. Go to your “Downloads” folder or click your browser’s “Downloads” icon. You will see an .ics
file named for your event. For example:
ScheduleUs_planning_meeting.ics
Open or double click this file to put it in your calendar.
Save the meeting in your calendar
When the meeting opens in your calendar app, you will most likely need to save it. Look for a button or link called, “Add” or “Save”. If your meeting has invitees, it may say “Send”.
Why is this step necessary?
We’ve built Schedule Us to be compatible with any and all calendars:
- Google Calendar
- Microsoft Outlook
- Apple Calendar
- DigiCal
- Fantastical
- or whatever
We want to give you the ease of using AI without having to switch your calendar app. Which means, at some point, we have to hand things over to your calendar.
The difference between desktop and mobile
While Schedule Us is simpler to use on mobile, behind the scenes it acts the same on both mobile and desktop. Mobile devices, however, are better at recognizing when an .ics
file is downloaded and knowing what to do with it.
If your mobile device does not automatically open your meeting in your calendar app:
- Switch to your “Files” app. It may also be called “My Files” or “File Manager”.
- Open the “Downloads” folder.
- Tap the Schedule Us
.ics
file.
What’s an ICS file?
The .ics
file format is an Internet standard for calendar and scheduling data created in 1998. It is designed to be an independent and universal format compatible with any calendaring software.
